Citizens For A Safer Cleveland
The OCC and BFO worked with the families who have lost loved ones to police in Cleveland, Ohio. This partnership resulted in the placement of a charter amendement on the November 2021 ballot. This amendment not only allowed for the Cleveland Community Police Commission to become permanent, but allowed for the increasing of its independence, authority, and resourcing. This in turn increased the Cleveland Community Police Commission’s ability to fulfill its role as a vehicle for community voice and oversight.
